Soekarno Hatta International Airport is the busiest airport in Indonesia. Not only in Indonesia, this airport was once the busiest in Southeast Asia in April 2024, beating Changi Airport and Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The government is carrying out a revitalization project for Soekarno Hatta Airport, both on the land and air sides to increase the capacity and productivity of passenger and aircraft movements.
With this revitalization, passenger capacity will increase from 65 million per year to 110 million per year. Terminal 2 was expanded from 173,608 square meters to 234,500 square meters. Previously, it could only accommodate 9 million passengers/year to 21 million passengers/year.
Meanwhile, on the air side, work on the runway and installation of the AirNav Indonesia system software was carried out to increase the productivity of aircraft movements for take-off and landing.
